Requirements of Germany tourist visa for Indians

• Completely filled and signed application form
• Original and signed Indian passport with 6 months of remaining validity
• 2 passport size photographs
• Photocopies of first and last three pages of the original passport, including copy of all visas
• Copy of round trip tickets or confirmed itinerary
• Heath insurance evidence covering international travel
• Applicant must provide a copy of credit card or Foreign Exchange
• Copies of last 6 months bank statements
• A letter from employer or school showing that that an absence leave of the applicant has been granted and will return back to job

Or

         If the applicant is self employed then he/she need to show business license and tax return

Or

         Retired applicants need to submit the proof of their retirement fund

• If the applicants plans to stay in hotel then copy of the confirmed hotel reservation
• If the applicant stay with family or friends then a invitation letter from the host of Germany

For US citizens

• valid national passport ( valid at least three months. It should also contain at least two empty pages where the visa can be inserted ) and one copy
• original of valid US alien registration card or valid US resident visa (type A, E, F, G, H, I, J, L, O, R) and one copy

• confirmation letter from your health insurance stating coverage with a minimum of $50,000.- (USD) for trips outside the US and one copy
• reference letter from your employer
• proof of group travel/hotel reservation/airline reservation and one copy
