Visas are not granted for those studying in public, primary or secondary education. For a primary and secondary school student visa for Hong Kong the applicant must be between 5 and 20 years of age. Studying in Hong Kong can be expensive so you must also be able prove that you can meet the institution’s fees.

University and Higher Education Students

To study in Hong Kong as a university student you must also have a confirmed offer to study at a public or private university or similar institution. Professional Training

If you are not an academic student you may be able to study aboard Hong Kong as part of a company training scheme. Visas are limited to 12 months and are applicable only while the entrant is being trained. The sponsoring company must financially maintain the student with a written contract that the applicant will receive training at the company’s premises until the end of the agreed period. After training, the applicants must return to their country of residence.
