Australian senior federal Labor frontbencher said that temporary immigrants, who have established a small business, should be authorized to become permanent residents.
Chris Bowen, who served as an immigration minister in Gillard’s government, has launched significant investor visas in 2012, which allowed skilled immigrants to have their applications processed at an accelerated pace upon any investment of $5 million in the country.
Bowen, currently serving as a shadow treasurer is causing to move the idea of enabling overseas entrepreneurs to become permanent residents on condition that a small business is introduced in less than three years.
Temporary visa holders could be asked to show how they could convert $50,000 into a firm or business hiring 15 people. If they are found successful, they will be issued a permanent visa.
