Following the announcement of president Obama plans for robust executive actions on immigration amendments, the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has been reportedly arranging work permits for migrants.
The U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) have accepted that they have issued a draft contract to purchase the card stock, which is essential to generate green cards and work permits.
The agency of USCIS, the Homeland Security which is accountable for supervising the benefits of immigration, provides around 3 million work permits and green cards yearly. Therefore, the latest agreement for the card stock would surely enable the administration to grant more work permits and green cards.
The Spokesman of USCIS, Christopher Bentley, said that the number of applications for immigration could increase “for any number of any reasons”.
Remarkably, the president of US, Obama said that in 2014, he would enlarge the protection and not exile the 500,000 youthful migrants who come to the U.S as children.
Under a program named Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, the youthful migrants who are in colleges or schools or have graduated and don’t have any crime records can succeed protection for a maximum period of two years. They would also be qualified for US work permits.
