Earlier today immigration minister for Federal, provincial and territorial (FPT) have met in Toronto to discuss varied benefits relating to economic immigration to Canada.
The Canada‘s Citizenship and Immigration Minister, Chris Alexander, and Ontario’s Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade Minister, Michael Chan; held a special meeting targeting the newcomers with regards to selection of economic immigrants and for the improvement of settlement and labour market outcomes.
The launch of new Express Entry, immigration selection system, was discussed for the ongoing importance of the Provincial Nominee Programs, which gives better scope for provinces and territories to find prospective immigrants to meet their labour market needs.
The Minister Chris Alexander said that the Canadian government welcomes elite and the brightest immigrants more quickly and also integrate them into Canada’s economy as well as society.
He also added that while working with territorial and provincial partners, the government can increase the benefits that immigration brings to Canada’s economy and support the top priority by creating jobs as well as economic growth.
Alexander negotiated on the improvement of FPT Vision three-year action plan for Canada immigration during 2012 to 2015, which is planning to adapt to immigration reforms and to make a swift, fair as well as flexible economic immigration system.
Efforts are made to meet market needs, and increasing Francophone immigration and improving settlement outcomes for all the newcomers.
