Australia and India will work hand in hand to put across the successive employment and vocational training in various sectors, reported by Sanchayan Bhattacharjee.
Modi, during his recent visit to Australia tried hard to advertise Indian as manpower and manufacturing hub. This idea is actually used to use India considerably to meet the larger human capital and the same shortage in Australia.
To achieve the final result, it is necessary that the nationals of India should be trained and certified to seek employment in both the nations. NSDC keeping this on mind signed an agreement understanding with the TAFE directors of Australia to work together in training, vocational and technical education.
This training program will focus on the certain sectors where Australia faces a shortage of manpower which also includes IT, healthcare, retail, automotive sector and telecom. This training will be collaborated with the Australian skill councils to meet the relevant skills.
The CEO of NSDC Dilip Chenoy says that the main objective of the training is build business transitional standards which can fulfill the job requirement in two or more countries. He also added by saying that the Australian standards are even accepted in the Middle East with respect to standards of India which has begun and will be completed by next year and the trainees will be soon trained in the transitional standards and can have many job opportunities in Australia.
Additional to the training program, NSDC will also work with Australian immigration to smooth the progress of skilled workers from India and vice versa.
