Australian Minister Announces To Make Extension For Business Card Visa

Australian Minister made an announcement to introduce Business travel card, which would grant multiple entry short visa for Australia and other Asia pacific nation and  this visa has been got extension, earlier it was 3 years now it is for 5 years.

To the participating member economies, it does offer priority lane access. For bona fide business people, APEC Business travel card is valid for 5 years, multiple entry visa and short stay.

The APEC economies in the year 1997, the ABTC were originally launched and significant growth has been experienced in the past few years. We also find that the number of ABTC users in year to the end of June 2015, It had recorded increase of 15, ie more than 190,300.

In January 2015,the idea for the extension has come from APEC Business mobility Group, which met in the Philippines and it has now been agreed to by all 21APEC member economies.  From 1 September 2015, the 5 year extension would be valid .

Facilitated entry for frequent business travelers in Asia pacific region is now even more convenient. Extension of validity of the ABTC would significantly benefit business travelers who would not have to apply for a new card as frequently. Australia’s Assistant immigration Minister, have said, that Michaelia Cash, these changes would definitely benefit not only the Australians travelling throughout the region for business, the broader Australian economy by, innovation, invest, fostering trade technologies and new services. ”.

The ABTC does offer significant efficiencies for card holders and it has been found to greatly reduce business travel cost between APEC economies.

The application fees of the card has been reduced similarly time and the cost associated with application as well as immigration processing has been reduced.

From 1 September 2015,  successful applications for an Apec Business Travel card  would be valid for five years  Those individuals whose applications has been received on or before 31 August 2015 would receive Apec Business Travel card valid for three years.
