Secretary to Canada's Citizenship and Immigration Minister, Costas Menegakis announced an investment of over $2 million for services of settlement at the opening event of Care for Newcomer Children (CNC) center.
The new CNC centre will serve as an advantage for newcomers through settlement programs along with services related to child care.
CNC, which is located at Windsor's Unemployed Help Centre will provide onsite child care services to newcomers who wish to avail long-term services of settlement. Some of these include, training in language or child care access for short periods, with the purpose of being present at the appointments or to take part in settlement programming for short-term.
These settlement services make sure that newcomers will be able to contribute to the Canadian economy easily and quickly and attain success in the labor market.
The Unemployed Help Centre, which is a non-profit charitable organization, provides various services and programs including career, educational and employment counseling in the country areas of Windsor and Essex.
Canadian Government is proud to provide initiatives of support that help newcomers to attain success. Newcomers are ensured that they are integrated into Canadian economy and contribute to the labor market and economy of Canada by means of continuous investment in settlement services all through Canada.
