The new survey conducted in Canada has revealed interesting details. The amount of Canada population has been significantly becoming diverse, which in turn made it as a country with highest foreign-born population in G8 countries.
The National Household survey, which has thrown light on the foreign population, has also mentioned that nearly 2.1million immigrants in the last ten years made Canada a country with a diverse population.
The survey even reported that today Canada’s foreign-born resident population touched 20.6 percent out of total Canada population compared to 19.8 per cent, which was recorded in 2006.
Most of these immigrants were typically from Philippines and China earlier. The recent years proved that immigrants from Africa, Central America, South America and the Caribbean dominated the immigrant population.
Also, the survey stated that a large number of new immigrants to Canada are young. It even said that at least half-a-dozen immigrants among 10 who immigrated to Canada had settled in the big metros such as British Columbia and Ontario.
