In City Centre, Australian Immigration Officials Verify Visa

The immigration Agency of Australia, has made announcement that it plans to conduct the background verification for Visas in city centre of Melbourne. The state police as well as transport authorities will also unite with immigration agency in this activity.

The B0rder Force earlier, now the Department of immigration and Border protection would  run Operation fortitude with assistance from Metro trains, Victoria police,  the Sheriff’s office and the Taxi services Commission.

The regional Commander Don Smith has said, the purpose was promoting a secure and cohesive society in Australia ‘s second largest city.

The officers will be positioned at the various location around the CBD speaking with any individual we path with, he said.

You need to be aware of the conditions of your visa.  If you commit visa fraud, you should know it is only a matter of time before you are caught out.

We find several journalist have immediately expressed concern over the operation .  They have raised Questions as to how the Border Force would identify the potential visa holders as given that Australia does not legally require the residents or  citizens to carry the identification.

The Border Force has later clarified that officers would assist the partner agencies to conduct the background visa verification on individuals who are referred to us.

To be very specific, the Border force would not stop people at random.

The Helen Dale, the outspoken advisor to the Libertarian Senator David Leyonhjelm has used Twitter to compare the operation Fortitude to Nazi Germany.

Sandi Logan, retired immigration Department spokesperson, tweeted that the operation was overegged and the Border force would merely check the status of tax drivers.

The results of the poll consistently has shown that, the government does face the electoral wipeout, it also considered to be better placed than the opposition in order to handle security and immigration issues.

The Victoria police has said that the, operation is about strength in numbers.

The Border Force does remain responsible for operation Sovereign Borders.
