UAE Introduces Multiple Entry Tourism Permits For Indian Cruise And Medical Travelers

Here’s some good news for cruise tourists who would like to visit UAE. The senior official of Dubai government announced that the country has started granting multiple entry visas for Indian and Chinese cruise travelers.

The Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, CEO (Chief Executive Officer), Issam Kazim, said that the government has recently started granting multiple entry visas to Indians and Chinese cruise voyagers. He also said that on a whole there has been an excellent increase in number of travelers coming from India and China.

He stated that multiple entry visa facility was also planned for Indians coming through airports and that proposal was dealt at the federal level.

The UAE government has commenced managerial reforms to its visa system enabling latest multiple entry tourism permits for cruise and medical travelers and their firms in the previous year.

The cost of new multiple entry tourism permits for cruise passengers is Dh200, which makes their trip more cost-effective as well as strategically more expedient with special effect on a number of major markets for which earlier rules made the cost considerably higher, counting India, Russia &CIS, China, Brazil and South Africa.

The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing India anticipates that the opening of multi-entry visa will augment the period of stay for travelers in the UAE.

Dubai has received around 888,835 Indian travelers in 2013, accounting a rise of 16% over the subsequent period of 2012.

From October 2014 and to June 2015, cruise season runs in Dubai, in which the country sees a total of 110 cruise ship calls transporting over 381,000 travelers coming to the city

In this cruise season, the number of ships using Dubai Cruise Terminal as their port would rise to six and these ships are anticipated to make 83 trips when compare to 63 trips during the 2013-14 season.
