The Government of Australia has plans to lessen the restrictive components of the skilled foreign worker scheme, which includes firm rules pertaining to the requirement of proficiency in English language.
Scott Morrison, Immigration Minister of Australia, has supported some of the guidance defined in the government authorized report on the 457 visa program.
Changes to the requirements of the English language for the applicants of 457 visa is one amongst the 22 recommendations of the review.
Visa applicants, who require scoring a minimum of five individually in the four tests of speaking, writing, reading and listening, would now move to a minimum of five on an average, as stated by the report.
Morisson has supported guidance to perform changes on the rules of market salary rates, which are directed to make sure that the holders of 457 visas have the same conditions of employment and salary as the people of Australia, who perform similar task. However, employers are free from revealing market rate for placements with salaries more than $250,000 for every year.
The market rate should carry on to be the significant component of 457 programs. However, the threshold of the earnings for the freedom from an obligation has to be brought down to the level that was applicable prior to last year.
