Canadian Minister To Highlight Immigration Pathways During Travel To India

Chris Alexander, Canada's Citizenship and Immigration Minister, will take a trip to India to encourage strong economic relationships between Canada and India. He is expected to highlight immigration pathways to enter Canada.

During his visit, he will have a meeting with the senior most officials of the government, students, entrepreneurs, and business leaders in the fields of entertainment and Information Technology (IT). He will focus on many ways of Canadian immigration through various programs of economic immigration, the introduction of Canada’s Express Entry program in January 2015 and the program that will assist arrival and incorporation of new immigrants to Canada.

The minister is also expected to highlight on the significant role of strong and competent immigration system in economic growth of Canada along with Canada’s new Start-Up Visa for entrepreneurs. He will address young entrepreneurs regarding Canadian Experience Class (CEC) Canada's Start-Up Visa in Mumbai.

Minister Alexander said that Canada and India have strong bilateral ties that are established on common democratic and economic interests and expressed that he hopes the relationship to continue in reinforcing their valuable bonds.
