During Canada Express Entry Fourth Draw 1187 Invitations Are Issued

Soon, after the successful completion of third draw on 20 February 2015, by inviting 849 candidates, Canada Citizenship and Immigration (CIC) has conducted another Express Entry draw just in a week and issued 1,187 invitations to apply for Canada permanent residency.

This is the fourth draw conducted by CIC during the period starting on 27 February 2015 and ending on 28 February 2015 as well as sent Invitation to Apply (ITA) to as many as 1,187 candidates who are in the Express Entry pool. In this draw the benchmark of selection was 735 points when compared to 808 in the third Express Entry draw.

In the Express Entry draw, candidates eligible under Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) are selected from the pool. So far, the Canada Citizenship and Immigration (CIC) department has conducted four draws and under each consecutive draw it has observed that the number of invitations granted were either remain stable or increase, whereas the benchmark for CRS points required by candidates to receive invitation has reduced.

A drastic decrease has took place between third and fourth draw, with a lowest qualifying score of 735 points, representing a decrease of 73 points when compared to 808 points in third draw.

On a whole from the date of Express Entry launch, until now Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has granted 3594 Invitations to Apply (ITA's) in four draws. Also, excluding the first draw, the remaining three draws took place during the month of February, which shows that Canada’s aim to conduct Express Entry draws frequently.

The minimum qualification points secured so far in the CRS was 735, which represents that the candidates who have received invitation from CIC has obtained either a valid job offer supported by LMIA (Labor Market Impact Assessment) from Canadian employer or a nomination from Canadian province.
