Indian Industry Calls On UK To Simplify Visa System

Representatives from Indian industry have urged the UK to look into its visa system and simplify to help people to people movement for better economic cooperation between the two nations.

Ajay Sriram, president of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), said that it is the time to assess economic engagement between India and UK and plan a path for the future, which would not be possible without supporting the exchange of the people.

It is time to look at the ways to improve transfer of technical experts and students and begin to deal with these issues as primary tasks to raise business engagement, he added.

Marian Sudbury, director of The UK Trade and Investment Global Operations, has highlighted the figures, which reveal that 90 percent of visas applied by Indians gain approval.
