Here’s some good news for people who want to migrate to Canada under provincial nomination program (PNP). Nova Scotia—Canadian province, has announced to introduce a latest provincial immigration stream, which will come into force on January 2015.
The new migration stream is entitled as Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry that replaces the previous Regional Labor Market Demand stream.
The new stream lifts the number of nominations from 700 to 1,050, by adding up an extra 350 nominations in 2015, which shows a rise up to 50% in the overall quota of Nova Scotia provincial nominations.
In order to settle in Nova Scotia, prospective applicants should be extremely skilled and hold qualifications and post-secondary education. Applicants should also show their intent to live in the province.
This new stream will line up with the new Express Entry system, which is decided to be launched in January 2015. Prospective applicants should be eligible for any of the federal economic immigration programs such as Federal Skilled Trades Program, Federal Skilled Worker Program, and Canadian Experience Class.
The province will be able to pick the qualified candidates from the Express Entry pool for the new stream, Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry stream. Recently, other provinces in Canada have also announced the related streams in the Provincial Nominee Programs for the same reason.
Sources said that the new Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry stream expedites the immigration process for skilled immigrants to Nova Scotia in order to address the labor-market needs.
While planning the stream, the province, Nova Scotia, has also engaged the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, immigration law practitioners and immigrant settlement organizations.
