NSW Introduces Selection-Based Invitation Process For 190 Program From Feb 2015

The government of NSW (New South Wales) is commencing a new selection-based nomination process for the Australia 190 program in 2015. The new selection process will put into practice from this February onwards.

Under the Australia skilled nominated visa (subclass 190) selection criteria as well as invitation process, potential applicants can apply for New South Wales nomination if they have been picked from SkillSelect as well as invited by NSW Trade and Investment.

Applicants, who have submitted EOI (Expression of Interest) through SkillSelect and specified that they desire to be considered for the NSW nomination for Australia 190 visa, will be picked by the NSW.

The new selection process would be competitive and NSW ranks applicants depending on the core criteria such as applicants DIBP (Department of Immigration and Border Protection) points score, English language ability, and their skilled job offer. If the candidate scores same on the core criteria during the time of selection, then he or she will be further ranked depending on the time and date of their EOI submission through SkillSelect.

The highest scoring or top-ranking candidates would be first invited to lodge application and NSW will decide the number of invitations that are granted on an enduring basis.

NSW Trade & Investment will be choosing and inviting applicants to apply between February and June 2015.

Successfully selected candidates will be invited to lodge application for NSW nomination, the invitation will be received through an email and 14 days time will be given for the applicants to apply for nomination.

Usually, for the NSW nomination applications it takes 12 weeks to process. If candidates are successfully nominated, then they would receive SkillSelect invitation to lodge application for the 190 Visa within the period of 60 days of being nominated by NSW.

After the visa approval, candidates can move to NSW and begin their two year assurance to reside and work in NSW.
