Quick Access To Private Technical Australian Student Visa
01 May 2012
International students will be pleased to know that those belonging to private and technical as well as further educational (TAFE) colleges will be able to get their visas quickly as per new Australian immigration rules.
At the Council of Australian Governments April 13th meeting it was decided that visa processing would be expedited in the case of “low immigration risk providers”. Some of the colleges attended by such students would be allowed to streamline student visa assessments from the second half of the coming year.
The proposed immigration reforms would ensure that foreign students seeking Australian visas in order to study at colleges which are considered to be low risk will be subjected to evaluation process as they are coming from “level 1 risk assessment” countries.
This decision of Australian immigration authorities will lessen the waiting time for the visa and will also minimize the requirements in financial matters.
The universities in Australia will be able to access this system this month itself, whereas TAFEs and private colleges would have to wait till next year.
This streamlining of student visa procedures no doubt has been received well by senior Australian educationists, but it was felt that only genuine students must be permitted. Expert visa consultants will assist students in the immigration process as these consultants are well versed in visa services.
