To The West, India Tops In Supply Of Doctors

India does continue retaining its position,  as the top supplier of the world of doctors Expatriate, consisting of 34 member nation of OECD. Several nations have cast a greater onus on the employer who is potential inorder to ensure that only those expats are having right skills offered employment.

Most immigrants who are new to OECD nations have originated from China; it has accounted for around one in ten migrants in the year 2013. The Romania and Poland do rank 2nd and third with respectively 5.5% and 5.3% of the overall inflows to OECD nations. This is largely attributed to the Intra-EU mobility.

Comparatively, India has appeared in 4th position only 4.4% of immigrants to the OECD nations were from India.

A nationwide analysis of the statistics drawn from this particular report does show that US, Canada, Australia, UK and Germany are favored destination for the Indian migrants. With regards to absolute numbers of migrants were from India to US (68,500 in the year 2013). However, if one does compare a period of 10 years, Australia has offered significant percentage rise.

OECD nations have also seen rise in the number of international students. In the year 2012, there were about 34 lakh international students in the OECD nations. A slight rise of about 3% when compared with the previous year. Most of the international students pursuing higher education have originated from Asia. The China has accounted for about 22% followed by 6% from India.
