Here’s some good news for overseas entrepreneurs who would like to work in the US. Recently, the president of US, Barack Obama, has pledged to make it simpler and swifter pathway for overseas entrepreneurs to work in the US.
The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released a memo, which discloses a major opportunity for overseas entrepreneurs, named as parole status.
Usually, Parole status is approved for medical or humanitarian relief, as a permit to enter the US without a visa. However, the DHS suggested the US citizenship and immigration services (USCIS) to propose the Parole status even for researchers, inventors and startup founders that would enable them to enter the US legally for an uncertain period of time.
Under the US H-1B visa, which is issued for high-skilled overseas employees, needs overseas entrepreneurs to demonstrate that they can be recruited, paid, fired and controlled by the firm, thus, it's very complicated to launch a firm or company. Consequently several entrepreneurs prefer to start their own companies somewhere else.
Thus, the introduction of new proposal offers a simpler way for entrepreneurs who are willing to enter the US market. However, to be eligible under this proposal, individuals have to show that they are innovative and job creators or else they have obtained extensive financial support from U.S. investors.
Sources said that this new proposal is an immense leap forward for the startup community.
The final goal of this new proposal is to make the strong business foundation so, that entrepreneurs would be qualified for a more permanent visa.
