U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced the naturalization of almost 9,000 new American citizens during Independence Day Ceremonies.
USCIS Acting Director, Lori Scialabba, said that they feel privileged to celebrate Independence Day by greeting new citizens of United States at ceremonies all through the country.
The ceremonies will be held at public libraries and landmarks all through the nation while one is scheduled to be held by President Obama at White House for service members who are still not citizens of America.
The President said that the service members were prepared to fight and die for the country though they are not the citizens of the county and expressed that they have earned higher rank in the military. Therefore, they will be naturalized in ceremony at the White House on 04 July 2014.
Thus, Independence Day will be their first day as citizens of the U.S., he added.
