Financial Investor Scheme (FIS)is the best route for anyone who wants to first get Singapore Permanent Residence (PR) status and hence convert to Singapore citizen in a secured and shortest time.

There are 2 types of financial investor scheme options for you to consider for getting Singapore PR:

Option A: requires the applicant to invest in Singapore for at least SGD 10 million of assets which is to be booked and managed by a financial institution regulated by MAS 

Option B: requires the applicant to hold at least SGD 8 million of assets and a SGD 2 million invested in Singapore private housing properties, for example Singapore Sentosa Cove bungalow.

To be eligible for the FIS, applicants should have a minimum Net Personal Assets (NPA) of S$20 million. To apply for Permanent Residency through the FIS, applicants have to place at least S$5 million of assets in Singapore for 5 years. The Minimum Sum should comprise of financial assets* not less than S$3 million, and one Sentosa Cove Bungalow (comprising either land only or land building). These financial assets shall be placed with a financial institution regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Existing financial assets placed with the financial institution can be included as part of the Minimum Sum.

• Capital market products;
• Collective investment schemes;
• Premiums paid in respect of life insurance policies; and
• Other investment products.

The eligible Singapore property is subject to foreign ownership restrictions under the Residential Properties Act. Only newly acquired property purchased within 6 months from the formal submission of the application can be included.

Who will be benefited under this scheme?

Other than applicant himself/herself, applicant may include the immediate family members (spouse and unmarried children below 21 years old) to obtain the immediate status of Permanent Resident.

After 2 years of residing as a PR in Singapore, applicant may be eligible to apply for Singapore citizenship.
