Eligibility

• Individual must hold a valid passport.
• Individual willing to visit Sweden must furnish all the details regarding their visit
• They have to produce their evidence of occupation
• They have to show sufficient finance to support themselves during their stay in Sweden
• They should have a valid travel insurance

Individuals who want to visit their family friends have to get an invitation from their family members or friends to visit them. Individuals applying for visit visa have to enclose following documents,

• Individual must receive a invitation letter written in Swedish or in English from their family or friends
• Applicants must submit all the details about their friend or family member living in Sweden
• They have to submit the identity proof of their referee to the Sweden embassy or consulate
•  If the referee of the applicant is not a citizen of Sweden,  then applicant have to submit the proof of residence permit along with their passport details of their referee
• Applicant has to furnish the employment details of their guarantor
• Applicant has to provide financial details of their guarantor

Swedish immigration authorities take 15 to 20 working days to process an application. Sweden visit visa is granted for 3 months.

Visa can be denied by Sweden immigration authorities, if the applicant fails to submit or satisfy obligations mentioned, and also if the applicant having a criminal background. Sweden immigration authorities require four weeks of time process an application, in few cases it may take more time.

Visa Fee for Adults is SEK 517 

Visa Fee for children aged between 6 - 12 years is SEK 302

Children under age of six are exempt from visa fee.
