Before applying for a visa, there is  English Language  Test you will have to pass. English Language Test is not necessary for  every types of visa. If you need a Tier 4 student visa, you may need to pass the test. The rules varies depending upon  nationality ,type of course you want to study.This is the  English language tests they will accept as evidence of a visa applicant's English Language proficiency. The level of English required depends on the level of course they intend to study. Ironically the standard required to satisfy UKVI regulations for some course.
