- Employee residence visa- Employer takes care of all the required paper work, although one must get a medical check-up done.
- Family residence visa- One can sponsor one’s spouse, children.

- Maid residence visa—This would permit one to sponsor a maid.
- Property residence visa- The issuance of 3 years visa was done for marketing Dubai property and some visas were issued, but in and around 2007 and 2008 this was suspended. In 2009 a replacement procedure, which was rather inadequate, was introduced in the form of multiple month entry visa for UAE, the duration of which is 6 months, was introduced.
- Relative Residence Visa- One can sponsor one’s parents, brother, sister and parent-in-law. Of course, a special application has to be processed.
- Student Residence Visa- This attracts full time studying students at the tertiary level at UAE colleges as well as universities. Those belonging to primary and secondary level will be placed under the sponsorship of their parents.
