The Canadian Government issued 3,400 invitations to apply to Express Entry candidates for Canada PR in a 135th Express Entry Draw that conducted on 22 January 2020.
The Comprehensive Ranking System (C.R.S) cut-off score in the present draw was 471 points, which is a reduction of 2 points over the minimum required score in the previous Express Entry draw held on 8 January 2020.
Refugees, Immigration, and Citizenship Canada (I.R.C.C) has now declared a sum of 6,800 ITAs (Invitations to Apply) in 2020 by the Federal Express Entry system. Canada has higher targets of admissions for 2020 and 2021 for different programs controlled by the Federal Express Entry system.
The goal for the latest PR admissions through the 3 federal high-skilled classes is slated to increase to 85,800 in 2020 and 88,800 in 2021.
The Express Entry system is a Canadian primary source of skilled immigrant workers. It was launched in the year 2015 to maintain the pool of contestants for 3 high-skilled economic immigration programs: Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Federal Skilled Worker Class.
While an employment offer is not needed to be eligible beneath the Federal Express Entry system, the CRS does grant additional points to contestants who have one.
A set number of best-scoring applicants are issued an Invitation to Apply (I.T.A) for Canadian PR by regular draws from the pool, which normally takes place for every two weeks.
I.R.C.C applied a tie-break date & time which is 9 May 2019 at 01:16:02 UTC respectively in the draw. This denotes that all candidates with a score equal to 471 and above who presented their profile before this date & time obtained an ITA. The Canadian Government has a processing standard of 6 months for Canada PR applications filed for the Express Entry System.
9 provinces and 2 territories of Canada have “enhanced” PNP streams that are connected with the Federal Express Entry system.
In these streams, many of which have lesser or no CRS score demand this allows engaging provinces & territories to choose Express Entry applicants and invite them to appeal for a provincial nomination for Canadian PR.
