2,000 New Jobs To Be Created In Frankfurt By European Central Bank (ECB)

Frankfurt-based European Central Bank (ECB) would be creating 2,000 new jobs in coming months as its role expands to include supervision of the EU's biggest banks.

Currently the ECB has 1,500 employees, but this would not be sufficient to conduct the task of overseeing 200 of the EU's 6,000 biggest banks.

ECB requires 1,997 more employees to fill the gap.
