CRS Points Requirement Likely To Decrease Over Time

24 Nov 2015

Immigration News

Significant developments have been taking place in Express Entry selection system for Canadian Immigration. Also, we find new draw has been made wherein the CRS point requirement has reduced. Also important announcement, as well as developments from Canadian Govt, were made.

A spokesperson for CIC has said that CRS Points Requirement likely to decrease over the period.

Earlier this month, 23rd Annual immigration law summit was held in Toronto, Ontario, a spokesperson for CIC has made few notable comments about the past, present and also future draws to made through Express entry pool. The main takeaway, however, is, CRS requirement for Express Entry draws is likely to reduce.

The CIC has made an announcement that total intake of economic immigrants to Canada through Express Entry is all set to increase once the backlog of application from 2014 cleared.

It was initially disclosed during the mid-year CIC report, and is released in August, and it was reiterated this month at immigration law summit.

Also, the spokesperson has said that the first few Express entry draws were relatively high CRS point requirement because of pent-up demand from the candidates who already have job offers supported by LMIA (LMIA).

These candidates tend to benefit from bonus point under the CRS and have got ITA from previous draws.

This particular information supported by midyear CIC report, which disclosed that most previous recipients of ITA were already working in Canada on LMIA helped work permits.

With both LMIA rush and PNP rush out of the way together with 2014 backlog cleared, the CIC has previously stated the Express entry would become the primary source of the application be met, for annual immigration level targets.

The CIC has stated that it expects the CRS requirement for Express Entry draws to decrease over the period.

Take advantage of opportunity

With a new Govt, that seems intent on introducing few family element to the system as well as new draw and few suggestive comments from CIC at the immigration law summit.

“There is much to consider over recent weeks when it comes to Express Entry”, says Attorney David Cohen.
