India Will Continue Raising The Issue Of Visa Fee Hike With The US

The Indian Government will continue raising the issue of the Visa fee hike with the United States. The India’s Union Minister Ravi Shankar said that the move by the US Government would affect the Indian professionals working in the United States.

The H-1B and L1 Visa fee increase issue have been taken up to the US highest level authorities several times. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoken to Obama regarding this issue and will continue in the future too, the Indian Minister told.

Indian companies pay huge money to the United States in the form of taxes. The IT value and contribution to the fortune 500 companies is very huge. They have a good benefit out of it, the return of our commitment is very huge said the Minister.

India is the hub for outsourcing; it occupies 56 percent of the total outsourcing industry in the world. It is possible because India has human capital and resourceful companies that provide software services to the US-based companies.

India is one of the largest exporters of software services to the United States. The US Government has increased the Visa fees for H1B and L1 Visa categories in early 2016.
