Quebec Suspends QSWP Program Online Intake

There is an update from the Quebec Immigration for the applicants of skilled program. The prestigious Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) which runs the online application management system will remain closed from May 26 until June 1. The Immigration department of the Quebec stated the technical issue for the temporary suspension of the intake.

The Quebec Immigration Minister Kathleen Weil announced in the month of February that Quebec will begin the intake from June 13, 2016. The only individuals faced the issue with the maintenance were allowed to apply for the visa by June 1.

The applicants who are temporary workers in the Quebec Province with valid Job offers were allowed apply for the QSWP.

The Quebec Immigration will accept 5000 applications between June 13 and June 20. The Intake is restricted to 41 000 candidates who had created the online account of the Mon Projet, it is not for the new applicants.

After the predetermined limit of the Quebec Immigration, the new applicants can create an online profile; they will be eligible for the next intake.

During the month of June the Quebec will accept 5000 applications, and in the later announcement the Quebec Immigration will take 5000 more applications.

Quebec Immigration is likely to be revamped and it has plans to introduce competitive immigration policies to attract the global talent.

The Immigration Minister Kathleen Weil also announced that an immigration procedure in similar lines to that of Canada Express Entry Scheme will also be introduced to attract the most qualified individuals to Canada.
