7,000 Jobs To Be Created By IDA

THE IDA has signed up 70 individual inward investment projects so far this year.

The agency said that this will create 7,000 jobs and is an increase on the number of projects from 2012.

There are currently 152,000 people working in 1,033 IDA client companies here – 2012 saw the creation of more than 12,722 new jobs.

Job losses were also at their lowest for a decade.

Barry O'Leary, CEO of the IDA (right), noted that Ireland's 12.5pc corporate tax issue was a challenge for Ireland as the taxation landscape is "evolving".
