Indian IT Companies To Bear The Additional Fee On H1B And L1B Visas

The Indian IT companies have to pay additional fees on every H-1B visa application fee according to the new regulations that are active from the December 2015.

The L-1 Visa petitions must pay additional fees of $4500; the both new visa regulations would be applicable till September 2025.

The H-1B visa is the facility available to the United States employers to recruit foreign nationals in occupations. The L-1 Visa allows the multinational companies to transfer the employs to the United States.

This visa fee hike will burden Indian IT sector additionally with over $400 million annually. The Indian Government has raised this issue at highest level, and said that it will continue to do so.

The United States official agency, US Citizenship, and Immigration Services publicized the fee visa hike details in its official website.

If the company employs over 50 people in the United States, then the additional fees have to be paid for both the visa applications.

The USICS will consider the full-time and part-time employees while determining the fees to be paid.

While calculating the employees, the USICS will look for the number of employees working in the organization, irrespective of the salary paid to them.
