Canada Immigration Minister Mccullum has announced to bring significant changes to the Citizenship Act. The proposed amendments would be available in the public domain in next few weeks. This move will comfort the potential immigrants to apply for the permanent residency.
It is tough to many permanent residents who are eligible for Canada Citizenship without English and French language proficiency. The Bill passed by the Stephen Harper Government in 2014 makes the potential immigrants to have proficiency in both the languages. This C-24 bill hinders the Citizenship applicants as it’s hard to learn French and Language.
Now, a New Prime Minister, New Government and a new Minister of Citizenship of Canada is planning to create a barrier-free application system to the permanent residents applying for the Canadian Citizenship. The Liberal MPS of Canada considers the immigrants who have integrated into the social fabric of Canada are productive and have contributed to the economy mainly.
Canada Immigration historically has paved a smooth system to ensure the immigrants Citizenship. Canada’s long-term economic growth largely based on the attracting the responsible and qualified talent to its provinces. The new Government is planning to remove the immigration system from the clutches of politics.
