MANITOBA PNP UPDATED ITS IN-DEMAND OCCUPATIONS AND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program has updated the list of top demand occupations. It removed seven occupations from the list and also did not have any new additions. Additionally, there was a revision in the minimum requirements for languages in many occupations.

Changes to the MPNP List

This list is used for selecting such candidates for immigration who can fill the shortages in the workforce. The list is revised depending upon the changes in the provincial labor market. These occupations were removed from the list:

The Program has a requirement that the candidates must meet the minimum language proficiency in English/French. This requirement also depends on the nature of the occupation. Manitoba also incorporated these changes in the language requirements for occupations:

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program

This Program collectively offers immigration streams and pathways that permit the province in nominating the candidates seeking the status of a permanent resident. It also has four streams of the MPNP and smaller immigration pathways:

1. Skilled Workers Overseas:

This stream caters to such skilled workers who do not possess any prior work/educational experience in the country. Moreover, overseas applicants have to show possession of the necessary work experience.

2. Skilled Workers in Manitoba:

This stream caters to such skilled workers who have prior provincial work experience, or a job offer from a local employer.

3. International Education Stream:

This stream caters to such global students who complete provincial post-secondary studies.
