Manitoba Invites 515 Candidates In New PNP Draw

In the recent Manitoba immigration draw, held on August 17, 2018, more than 500 candidates received the invitation to apply for Canadian immigration.

Majority of the invitations were issued in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream. Now 410 candidates can submit their applications through the S.W.M. stream, which gives a priority to candidates who have a strong connection to Manitoba. 105 candidates received the invitation through the Skilled Workers Overseas stream in the Strategic Recruitment Initiative. It is put to use, when candidates, get the invitation to submit the application to fill up a specified labor market need.

The Details of the Manitoba Draw

This was the 49th immigration draw in Manitoba. Till the end of 2017, the draws had the domination of S.W.M. stream, whereas, in 2018, many overseas candidates receive the invitation under the S.W.O. stream. Manitoba invites E.E. candidates as a part of the Skilled Workers Overseas stream.

Candidates must have:

• A valid Express Entry ID as well as a job seeker validation code
• 6 months of experience in an in-demand occupation.

Qualifying For the Skilled Worker Stream

The Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream answers the special needs of local employers. Furthermore it selects overseas workers having the training in the necessary skills. It nominates them for Canadian PR. The stream gives a priority to the candidates having a connection with Manitoba, and also has two immigration pathways.

a) Work Experience Pathway

For the applicants, who are presently working, in the province, holding a temporary work permit, in the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, or the international graduates, from any Canadian province, the Candidates do not need to work in an In-Demand Occupation

b) Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway

• For overseas applicants having a Job Offer from an approved Manitoba employer.

Qualifying For the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream

The Skilled Worker Overseas Stream has a Canadian Express Entry Pathway and also a Direct Provincial Pathway.

It aims to attract international skilled workers having the skills/training in an In-Demand Occupation. Moreover, there is a Priority for applicants/spouses who have a close family connection, and the advantage of language proficiency, plus training and experience.

a) Manitoba E.E.  Pathway

This is exclusive for global candidates who are eligible in another M.P.N.P. stream, and also meet E.E. criteria after having an active profile. Candidates require skills, experience and training in an In-Demand Occupation, and also show an impressive family connect with the province.

b) Human Capital Pathway

This path is specific to global skilled workers having sufficient skills, experience and training in an In-Demand Occupation. Candidates must have great potential to get an employment immediately after their arrival in Manitoba.
