New 10 Year Multiple Entry Visa To Australia

Here comes good news for many of the visitors visiting their loved ones in Australia. Taking inspiration from the USA which issues visit visa for a mammoth 10 years validity is now being adapted by the Australian government.

Till date Australia used to issue visit visa’s to their applicants for the time period of three (3), six (6) or twelve (12) month stay in Australia. The Department of Immigration and Border Protection has informed the senate estimate committee that the new 10 year multiple entry visas will be available by the end of the year. However more details regarding the visa are awaited by the DIBP, such as will this visa be provided for all the applicants or are there any separate criteria to be considered for these special visas.

One can be rest assured about the rules applicable for this visa as they will be the same even for this multiple entry visa such as: the applicant must not remain in Australia for longer periods, they are not supposed to take up any work and they are not supposed to indulge in any criminal activity.
