Above half of all primary applicants who got an Ontario provincial nomination in the last year were invited by one of the three Express-Entry associated streams.
Ontario PNP’s Stream of Express Entry Human Capital Priorities brought in the largest nominations out of all Ontario PNP streams in 2019. Approximately 51% of all applicants, or 3,750, were nominated gratefulness to Ontario PNP’s enhanced streams, which run in connection with the Canadian Express Entry system.
Most provinces, like Ontario, have improved streams that permit provincial immigration programs to select candidates with profiles in the pool of Express Entry. A provincial nomination definitely guarantees that a contestant will be chosen to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada PR.
The O.I.N.P says approximately 33% of all nominations in 2019 went to applicants with skilled work experience or an offer of a job in a tech profession as a result of the Ontario PNP Tech Draws, which run below the Stream of Human Capital Priorities. Tech workers required either skilled work experience or an offer of a job in an eligible tech profession, including software engineers and software designers, interactive media developers, computer programmers, IT systems analysts, and tech consultants.
Though employment offers are not a must for the enhanced streams, a huge portion of provincial nominations given to applicants who had jobs in Ontario. Global students also took up a huge portion of allotments.
Nominations went to people from approximately 1,900 Ontario companies over every industry. Minimum 35% of nominees already had an offer of a job in Ontario before nomination. More than 96% took a post-secondary degree, and a minimum of 53% had a Canadian Language Benchmark of 7 or above in one of the Canadian official languages.
Ontario also announced 6.1% of its nominations to french speaking candidates, exceeding its 5% target. Basically, the province was allotted 6,650 provincial nominations for the year 2019, but that grew after the province of Ontario met its entire allocation in November 2019. The federal government awarded Ontario 700 extra nominations in January 2020, which were fulfilled by the close of the year.
This brought the entire number of nominations in the year 2019 to 7,391 primary applicants, who brought 6,340 spouses and their dependents for a sum of 13,731 new newcomers to Ontario. The Ontario PNP says they don't yet have allotment numbers for 2020.
