Prince Edward Island Immigration: Plans To Conduct EOI Draw On Sept 19

Prince Edward Island immigration will manage the latest draw by the PEI province’s Expression of Interest system on 19 September 2019.

The draw will focus on both highly skilled workers and also entrepreneur immigration applicants by the Prince Edward Island PNP’s Express Entry, Labour Impact, and Business Impact categories.

PEI started its system of Expression of Interest at the first part of 2018 and has executed regular draws ever since.

In the total 8 draws took place so far in the year 2019, PEI has issued invitations to 1,065 applicants, it includes 922 by the streams PEI Express Entry or Labour Impact and 143 by the Business Impact stream.

PEI announced a sum of 1,446 invites throughout 2018, the first year it managed a system of Expression of Interest. In those, 1,240 went to both Express Entry and also Labour Impact candidates, with the outlasting 206 went to Business Impact applicants.

The biggest draw held on 18 Oct 2018, when 297 appellants were invited.

PEI Work Permit Stream

People appealing below the PEI Work Permit Stream needs to obtain a Canadian work permit and work for a business in PEI for a specific time period as mentioned in a Contract of Performance.

After the Contract of Performance is satisfied, the candidate must make at least CAD 150,000 investment in the company and commit to operating the business daily within PEI province.

Earlier, PEI managed direct Canada PR business streams, but these were terminated in 2018 in the month of September over immigration fraudulent concerns.
