Quebec Issued 950 Invitations In The Two Draws Conducted Through Arrima

Quebec has attended two draws since the system of Arrima was started and sums of 950 applicants have been invited to appeal for a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ). Details about the Arrima draws was published by Quebec’s Ministry of Diversity, Inclusion and Immigration (MIDI) on its website on 19 August 2019.

According to the data, the recent Arrima draw was conducted on July 17, in which 259 appellants were invited to apply. The chosen applicants were those with a profile of Expression of Interest and a valid job offer. The initial draw from Arrima took place on 4 July 2019 in which 691 invitations to apply was announced to candidates:

• Whose appeal for a Quebec Selection Certificate was canceled on 16 Jun 2019. They must have applied while living in Quebec as a temporary resident.
• Whose appeal for a Quebec Selection Certificate was canceled on 16 Jun 2019. They must have been studying or working in Quebec while providing the application
• Who created a profile in Arrima and registered an Expression of Interest for Quebec immigration prior to 17 Dec 2019

Quebec had canceled approximately 16000 applications to the Skilled Worker Program of Quebec (QSWP) as part of improving the province’s immigration laws. The canceled appeals were those filed prior to the launch of Arrima system on Sept 2018.

Applicants who want to migrate to Canada by the Skilled Worker Program of Quebec must first present an Expression of Interest by Arrima. The Quebec immigration officials will choose qualified candidates based on several criteria and the labor market demands of the province. MIDI has notified that it is intending to conduct many invitation rounds from now till 16 Jan 2020.

The applicants who have obtained an invitation from Quebec to appeal for CSQ can submit a comprehensive application in 90 days. Once the Ministry of Quebec receives the appeal, they would send a comprehensive list of documents required. Upon getting these documents, the Ministry of Quebec would review the appeal and eligible applicants would get a Quebec Selection Certificate.
