Report Reveals Canada Is The Best Country For Quality Of Life In 2020

For the 5th year in a line, people from throughout the globe named Canada as the best country in terms of quality of life. Out of the nations surveyed, Canada secured the first place in all aspects of being politically stable, second place for having a great job market, and fourth place for having a well advanced system of public education. International citizens also gave  top place to Canada for having a well advanced system of public health.

The 2020 Best Nations rankings were attended by U.S. News and World Report. A sum of 20,548 individuals from 36 nations was surveyed or examined on their perceptions of 73 nations. Countries were evaluated or judged in nine various categories that were given preference to provide an overall score:

• Open for Business
• Quality of Life

• Citizenship

Canada secured the second position overall, falling behind Switzerland country, which secured in first position overall but did not secure top place in any one category.

Canada Tops in Many Categories

In the category of Citizenship, Canada secured second place behind Sweden. Nations that scored high in this part were seen to care about the environment, human rights, religious liberty, and equality in gender. They were also recognized as progressive, as valuing property rights, being honest, and also having well categorized political power.

In the “Open for Business” section, Canada achieved third place behind Luxembourg & Switzerland. This section is for nations that are observed to be business-friendly. Nations were evaluated based on their bureaucracy level, costs of manufacturing, tax environment, corruption, and government practices. Canada placed in the top for scoring 0 out of 10 for the observed level of corruption and a perfect 10 out of 10 for transparent and honest government.
