Saskatchewan Immigration: Plans To Modify Entrepreneur Program Criteria

Saskatchewan provincial immigration has postponed its closing Entrepreneur stream draw of the year 2019 to 5 December 2019.

The draw was formerly programmed to take place on 7 November 2019. A notification posted on the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee (SINP) Program website said: Please be informed that the E.O.I pool selection programmed for 7 November 2019, has been delayed till 5 December 2019, to accommodate for program requirement modifications and system updates.

The reforms introduced are yet to be published. The stream presently requires a minimum individual net worth of CAD 500,000 and a minimum investment of CAD 300,000 in Saskatoon/ Regina, or CAD 200,000 is any other regional area of Saskatchewan.

5 Entrepreneur draws have been managed so far in the year 2019, with a sum of 262 applicants getting invitations to apply.

The stream principally works on a 3-stage process, where applicants originally come to Saskatchewan province on a Canada work permit, before being selected for Canada PR once the terms and conditions of a Business Performance contract have been satisfied.

Saskatchewan Entrepreneur Immigration Draws in 2019

The Saskatchewan Province Entrepreneur immigration is a 3-step process:

1. Submitting Expression of interest
2. Selected Candidates will receive an Invitation to present an application
3. Receiving Nomination from the Province of Saskatchewan

Eligibility Criteria for Saskatchewan Entrepreneur Program

The EOI must meet the below minimum entry criteria:

• The applicant needs to have a minimum net worth of CAD 500,000 and it is acquired legally.
• The applicant needs to have a minimum of 3 years of entrepreneurial or management work experience.
• The applicant needs to Investment CAD 300,000 which is minimum in Regina/ Saskatoon, or CAD 200,000 is any other regional area of Saskatchewan.
