Saskatchewan provincial Immigration conducted a new draw inviting a sum of 205 immigration applicants to apply for a Saskatchewan provincial nomination for Canada PR.
The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee (SINP) Program issued the invitations to apply on 26 March 2020. Applicants did not require an offer of a job to be chosen, however, they required one-year work experience in a suitable occupation associated with their field of study.
Manitoba, BC, and Saskatchewan provinces have all conducted their draws of the provincial nominee program since Canada declared its special coronavirus immigration rules on 16 March 2020. These specific draws are in addition to the 18 March 2020 federal Express Entry draw that only preferred provincial nominees.
Saskatchewan’s PNP draw below the Occupations In-Demand subcategory invited applicants who had Educational Credential evaluations, and they either had a nearby family member in the province of Saskatchewan or studied at a postsecondary college in the province.
Some of the 71 professions chosen in this invitation round include medical laboratory technologists, college instructors, and corporate sales managers. Applicants also required to file an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the Saskatchewan PNP.
Saskatchewan’s EOI system permits the province to choose immigration applicants that have the capability to thrive in the province. Interested applicants must create an E.O.I profile and will be evaluated based on their work experience, language ability, education, age, and attachments to the province that prove their capability to settle in the province of Saskatchewan.
Applicants are then awarded a score out of 100 points based on the SINP’s Global Skilled Worker Points Evaluation Grid. The highest-scoring applicants are then invited to apply for a Saskatchewan provincial nomination for Canadian PR. The minimum required score in the 26 March 2020 draw was 75 points.
The S.I.N.P has invited a total of 1124 Occupations In-Demand applicants so far in 2020. Attaching the 845 applicants who are also invited to apply for a Saskatchewan provincial nomination by the Saskatchewan Express Entry stream, that sum goes up to 1969.
Saskatchewan Express Entry stream is associated with the federal Express Entry system, which operates the pool of applicants for 3 main economic immigration classes of Canada: Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades, and Canadian Experience Classes.
Applicants with profiles in the Federal Express Entry pool need to create EOI profiles for Saskatchewan PNP in order to be recognized for an invitation to apply for a Saskatchewan provincial nomination.
