Saskatchewan PNP’s most recent draw held on 28 May 2020 announced invitations to 252 immigration applicants to apply for a Saskatchewan provincial nomination for Canada PR.
The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee (S.I.N.P) Program invited applicants from the Global Skilled Worker category by two subcategories they are Saskatchewan’s Express Entry and Saskatchewan’s Occupations In-Demand.
This is the initial Express Entry associated Provincial Nominee (PNP) Program draw out of Saskatchewan province since Canada shut its borders to non-essential traveling. The prior draw on held on 26 March 2020 was only for Occupations In-Demand applicants.
To be invited in this draw, applicants from both sub-categories required to have submitted Expression of Interest (E.O.I) to the SINP. The S.I.N.P uses the system of EOI to select the applicants that have the most capability to thrive in the Saskatchewan province. Applicants need to prove their dedication to building a life in Saskatchewan province by showcasing their level of education, work experience, proficiency in the language, age, and associations to the province.
The S.I.N.P uses these 5 human capital factors to evaluate participants and give them a score out of 100 points after evaluating on the Global Skilled Worker Points Grid. The top-scoring applicants are then announced with an invitation to apply for a Saskatchewan provincial nomination. The minimum required score on the 28 May 2020 draws was 78 points for both sub-categories.
In the recent invitation round, the Saskatchewan PNP announced 127 invitations to applicants who had profiles in the pool of Canadian Express Entry.
The Canadian Express Entry system controls the pool of applicants for 3 of Canadian principal economic immigration classes: the Federal Skilled Worker (F.S.W) Program; the Federal Skilled Trades (F.S.T) Program, and the Canadian Experience Class (C.E.C).
If aspirants in the pool of federal Express Entry also submitted an E.O.I for PNP of Saskatchewan, and they obtained 78 points on the SINP’s Evaluation Points Grid then they may have been invited in the most recent draw.
This sub-category is available to immigration aspirants who don’t have a profile in the pool of Canadian Express Entry.
There were 125 applicants in the Occupations In-Demand were invited to apply for a Saskatchewan provincial nomination, and comparable to the Saskatchewan’s Express Entry sub-category, applicants expected to have a minimum provincial score of 78 points in order to be selected.
