Despite the worsening job outlook of Australia, the number of people seeking work visas is increasing continuously.
The new data from the Immigration Department shows that the number of people from New Zealand on special visas has increased to 625,000 while there has been a rise of 10 per cent in young foreigners on Working Holiday Visas to almost 180,000, as of 31st December 2013.
With the unemployment rate of Australia rising towards 6 per cent, the number of 457 Skilled Visa to Australia has seen a rise of 7.6 per cent to 170,000.
The number of Student Visas to Australia reached 257,000 which is a rise of 6.4 per cent while the total number of temporary entrants in Australia saw a rise of 6 per cent and reached 1.82 million. This data has been noted from the report New Zealand Citizens and Temporary Entrants in Australia.
The report also revealed that the youth who are dominating the working holiday program are from the UK, South Korea, Taiwan, France and Germany.
The United Kingdom is the number one country for the 457 Visa, followed by India, Ireland, Philippines and the United States.
