Australia Immigration Proposed Changes To Occupation List In January 2018

The Department of Employment has proposed changes to the skilled occupation list from January 2018, the new system in place will remove few of the flagged occupations and few others will be added to the current list. The proposed changes will be in place for Employer-Sponsored Subclass 457 and Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) applications. These changes will not affect General Skilled Migration Subclasses.

The following occupations which are flagged in the STSOL may fall under possible removal:

• 141999 – Accommodation and Hospitality Managers Nec
• 142114 – Hair and Beauty Salon Manager
• 312112 – Building Associate

The following occupation may be added to the current list of STSOL:

• 242112 – University Tutor
• 272314 – Psychotherapist
• 612112 – Property Manager
• 612114 – Real Estate Agent
• 612115 – Real Estate Representative
