Australia: To Avoid Deportation Migrants Must Stay in the Designated Areas

Migrants who are migrating to the Australian regional areas below the Federal Government’s current population program will have to stay in the designated areas otherwise government may cancel their visa, or they may face deportation also.

New Congestion-busting Plan

The Australian Government, last week declared a $19.4 million funding for a current plan of congestion-busting that will have visas to migrants who are willing to settle in the Australian regional areas prioritized.

However, if they move from the designated areas prior to the obtaining permanent residency, the Federal Government may cancel their visas.

The visa exclusively applies for work in a specific area. So, you can’t move and work in other regions. This visa actually connected to that particular area, David Coleman, Immigration Minister said after the C.O.A.G meeting in Canberra earlier week.

Mr. Coleman told the plan would inspire migrants to move to the regional areas that have had determined issues of the labor deficit. He also told that the government is thinking to improve further resources into the regional visas processing.

What that indicates is that if you appeal for an Australian regional visa, the time it takes that will be decreased which is a great thing that supports individuals to move into regional areas, he told.

With an improved focus on settlement of migrants to the regional areas, Mr. Coleman told the immigration intake will get down and that the federal government is considering Designated Area Migration Agreements (D.A.M.A) with several regional areas that require more labor.

We know that in Melbourne and Sydney and southeast Queensland, those congestion problems are genuine. We also understand that in several parts of Australia, state and local government are literally screaming out for more people. So, the arrangement can be aligned appropriately, Mr. Coleman told.
