Migrant Australian Parents will find it simpler and cheaper to obtain visas if Labor party wins the upcoming May federal election, but the coalition states it is a cruel trick.
Labor Party Promises on Migrant Parent Visa
Labor is assuring for the termination of the current system, which forces families of Australians to select which set of parents can obtain a visa to visit. The present cap of 15,000 parents for each year will be eliminated and will be demand-driven, says Labor.

But the coalition states eliminating the cap will indicate approximately 100,000 people will appeal for the new visas. The cost will also be decreased, from AUD 5000 for a 03-year visa to AUD 1250, and from AUD 10,000 for a 05-year visa to AUD 2500.
Temporary parent visas presently cannot be renewed within Australia, but Labor is assuring to allow migrant parents to renew their visas while they are inside the country.

migrate to Australia.
