BC Invites Graduates And Tech-Workers Through Latest Draw

In a recent draw of British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) that took place on 19^th and 26^th July, the province issued 357 ITAs – (Invitations to Apply). The invitations in the former draw, were for both  Non-tech workers and graduates. The latter draw was a Tech-Only draw. This is considered to be a new initiative that was initialized by British Columbia ever since May.

Candidates who are eligible and interested in applying for immigration to Canada, are required to enter SIRS (Skills Immigration Registration System) pool, through eligible categories. After the successful entry into the SIRS pool, the candidates are assigned with appropriate points in line to the immigration criteria. Applicants with highest scores are invited from the pool and are issued ITA in periodical draws.

Applicants also can submit their BC PNP provincial nomination, through one of the BC PNP enhanced sub categories that is associated with “Federal Express Entry” selection system. Candidates receiving BC PNP certificate, are eligible to receive an additional 600 points under the CRS – Comprehensive Ranking test and an ITA at a successive draw from the pool. ITA issued with respect to BC PNP is not in line with the ITA's issued at the “Federal Express Entry” level.

The rest of the candidates who are invited for BC PNP provincial nomination application will have their applications processed at the federal level outside the Express Entry system.
