The money will contribute a maximum of $800,000 respectively for 15 projects intended to either provide a job that supports highly skilled immigrants or facilitate the process of foreign credential recognition.
A news release published by Social Development and Employment Canada (E.S.D.C) told the government is seeing for creative and collaborative ideas from stakeholders that address particular barriers to the integration of highly skilled immigrants into the labor market of Canada.
Helping immigrants to get assistance to have their foreign credentials approved will enable them to join the workforce of Canada faster, Patty Hajdu, Canadian Employment, Workforce Development, and Labour Minister, stated in the news release. Through this call is for ideas, Canada providing more immigrants a fair opportunity to succeed in Canada.
Social Development and Employment Canada (E.S.D.C) announced the call for ideas is open to qualified stakeholders concerned in foreign credential recognition and the highly skilled immigrants' integration into the Canadian labor market, such as governing bodies, professional unions, and associations.
Submissions of Concept are due by Apr 11, 2019. Selected candidates will be called to develop and provide a full project proposal.
The Program of Foreign Credential Recognition (F.C.R) works with Canadian territories and provinces and stakeholders such as non-profit organizations, governing bodies, post-secondary schools and organizations to fund and execute programs intended to facilitate the evaluation and identification of professional credentials obtained outside Canada so skilled immigrants can get a suitable job and get to work quicker.
