Recently the Government of Saskatchewan has announced changes to the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). The program now has merged the previously 9 immigration categories to 3. These 3 new immigration categories will see a number of significant changes.
Here’s a brief summary of these changes to the ‘International Skilled Worker’ Category.
International Skilled Worker Category
This category is for workers who wish to stay and work in the Canadian Province of Saskatchewan. If the applicants can successfully demonstrate that they have the necessary education, experience, adaptability and language to thrive in the province then they can be nominated by the SINP for immigration.
The program will include the following criteria:
For the year 2014, a total of 250 applicants without a job offer in Saskatchewan will be accepted. The occupations of the applicants should be included on a designated list of occupations. This list and more detailed guidelines on the application procedures and points system will be made available in December 2013.
